The Game 11-26-18

First guest on the show is Doug Laprade, head coach of the Soo Eagles, who talks about this past weekends games, the season, and the weekend set at Pullar Stadium.

Dionne Parker joins the show next, assistant coach of the LSSU women's basketball team, talking about the good start to the season for the lady Lakers as they head into GLIAC play this week.

Butch Davis from "Butch On Sports" joins the show next, to discuss the Metro Detroit sports scene, including the MHSAA Football Finals, Michigan's big loss to Ohio State, the Lions acting like turkeys at home on Thanksgiving, along with the Red Wings and Pistons.

The round table includes Scott, Dave, Butch along with Eagle 95.1's Katie Wollan and E.J. Russell where they discuss the NFL, NBA, NHL, and sports on TV, along with their thumbs up and thumbs down for the week.

The Game 11-25-18

The Game Sports Show has a brand new location, Icebreakers Sports Bar & Grill, inside the John Rhodes Community Centre in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario as host Dave McCaig gets listeners up to date on the local hockey scene.

Brad Coccimiglio from Soo Today.com joins Dave to talk about the Soo Greyhounds and Soo Thunderbirds along with T-Birds GM Trevor Zachary and head coach John Porco about all things Thunderbirds.

Soo Eagles vs Elliot Lake 11-23-18

Here is the Hockey TV audio of Friday's night's NOJHL West Division contest between the Soo Eagles and the Elliot Lake Wildcats.

The Eagles defeated the Wildcats, 8-0, as Shane Brancato made 33 saves in his second straight shutout at home.

The Eagles will be back in action at Pullar Stadium on Friday, November 30th against Rayside Balfour.

The Game 11-22-18

On this edition of The Game Sports Show, David McCaig is at Northern Superior Brewing Company in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, along with Justin Hykel and Dane Hanchrow open the show discussing upcoming show events and local hockey update in Sault Ste Marie in the NOJHL and OHL.

Dane , Justin and Dave continue the show talking about hot topics in the NHL with coaches getting fired (McCellan, Yeo amongst company), whom may be on the hot seat, the Buffalo Sabres hot start, last year's playoff teams whom are off to a slow start and whom is best to rebound. Maple Leaf chat circulating around William Nylander and also discussion about the worst possible trade in the past few decades.

Marie, Ontario, named once again the Soo's best sports bar, as they open the show with "In the Pocket", discussing local football, as the Korah Colts Senior Football get ready for OFSAA in Ottawa and their preparations.

Jamie and Dave continue the football talk, discussing Week 11 in the NFL and looking ahead to Week 12, along with the round table portion of the show, discussing the upcoming Grey Cup in the CFL with the Stampeders and Redblacks along with the Toronto Raptors and the NBA.

The Drive 11-20-18

Scott Nason joins Paul VanWagoner each week on his sports talk show "The Drive", heard weekday's 4-6pm on ESPN Blacksburg www.espnblacksburg.com

On today's show they talk about the NFL and Week 11, including how good are the Pittsburgh Steelers, who wants the NFC East and their Week 12 Eliminator Picks.

Highlights of this edition include...Dylan Larkin and the Detroit Red Wings are rallying on the road. Larkin scored 4:09 into overtime, Jonathan Bernier stopped 38 shots and the Red Wings beat the New Jersey Devils 3-2 on Saturday. Larkin got his eighth goal of the season when he converted a 2-on-1 break with Anthony Mantha...along with other sports topics from the Metro Detroit and sporting world.

The Game 11-17-18

On this special edition of "The Game", Scott Nason is broadcasting from the studios of WUPN Eagle 95.1 giving an early look at the local sports weekend, including the MHSAA 8-Player Division 1 State Football Final at the Yooper Dome between the Pickford Panthers and the Morrice Orioles.

The Game was there as the Orioles won their first ever State Title with a 44-16 win over the Panthers. Pickford ends their tremendous season at 12-1. Scott gives his first-hand account and opinion of the game, along with the rest of the high school football and volleyball scores from Saturday, along with a lot of wins for Laker Athletics, and a tough start to the weekend for the Hounds and Eagles.

The Game will be back for an online broadcast on Tuesday, November 20th and back at the Wicked Sister on Monday, November 26th.

The Game 11-15-18

On this edition of The Game Sports Show, David McCaig is at Northern Superior Brewing Company in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, along with Justin Hykel and Dane Hanchrow open the show talking update on local hockey, with round table discussion in the NHL about the plethora of recent injuries on the young Finns Sebastian Aho, Patrick Laine and Jesse Puljujarvi, and which one will have the better hockey career.

They also discuss the William Nylander contract negotiation with three questions is he staying, is he going, or is he sitting? They also continue with an update on Auston Matthews slowly getting back on the ice, along with potential trades, who they think are overachieving, underachieving and meeting expectations so far this season. They conclude the show with MLB and the CY Young winners and MVP winners.

The Drive 11-15-18

Dave, Jamie and Matt continue In The Pocket with discussion and reaction about Week 10 in the NFL, along with predictions and review going into Week 11 in the NFL. The boys also talk about Leveon Bell not coming back this season and Dez Bryants injury.

The boys transition into the discussion continued from Mondays edition of The Game with Leadership in Sports, along with discussion about the NBA, regarding the Raptors, Jimmy Butler trade and Kevin Durant's altercation with Draymond Green.

Highlights of this edition include...Detroit Lions continued their preparation for a matchup against the Carolina Panthers with a walk-thru at the team's headquarters and training facility in Allen Park. The Lions return home to face the Panthers (6-3) on Sunday after two consecutive road games over the last two weeks. Sunday marks the ninth all-time meeting between the two clubs. The Panthers took the most recent matchup with a 27-24 victory on Oct. 8, 2017 at Ford Field....along with other sports topics fromthe Metro Detroit and sporting world.

Dave McCaig, host of "The Game Sports Show" in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario joins the show next to talk about the Korah Colts winning the NOSSA Championships along with the Soo Greyhounds, Soo Thunderbirds and Soo Eagles.

Lake Superior State University Athletic Director, Dr. David Paitson joins the show next, to talk about the Laker hockey team and their last two weeks at home, along with the basketball programs beginning their seasons and a recap of the fall sports.

Butch Davis, from Butch On Sports, joins the show next to look at what is going on in the Metro Detroit sports world, including the Lions with another loss on Sunday to the Bears, as well as the Red Wings and Pistons weeks, and the high school sports scene.
