Brimley Boys vs Engadine District Semifinal 2-27-19

Scott Nason brings you Brimley Bays boys basketball on Eagle 95.1 FM and online at eagleradio951.com  Wednesday night's game saw Marcus Harris score 25 points as the Bays topped the Engadine Eagles in a Division 4 District semifinal in Ruydard.

The Bays will take on the host Bulldogs on Friday in the District Final at 7 p.m. which you can hear on Eagle 95.1 with Todd Olmstead.

 

The Game 2-26-19

The Game Sports Show has a brand new location, Icebreakers Sports Bar & Grill, powered by Northern Superior Brewery, inside the John Rhodes Community Centre in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario with host Dave McCaig, Jamie Antonello and Brad Coccimiglio from SooToday.com.

The local hockey scene is covered as they discuss the NOJHL and Soo Thunderbirds retiring the number of Jerry Petingalo along with the upcoming alumni game. They also discuss the Soo Greyhounds and the LSSU Hockey Lakers as the playoffs near.

The Round Table covers the NHL regarding offer sheets and a tease for the NHL trade deadling reaction for the upcoming Thursday show at Northern Superior. The boys are off from Sportscenter tomorrow, at Northern on Thursday at 7:15. All four shows will be on deck next week, starting at the Wicked Sister on Monday at 6pm. The Game 2-24-19

Butch Davis from "Butch On Sports" joins the show to get listeners informed on the Metro Detroit sports scene, including the Pistons recent success, the Wings, Tigers starting spring training, along with college basketball, the AAF, the WWE and their Thumb's Up and Thumb's Down for the week.

Soo Eagles vs Kirkland Lake 2-23-19

Here is the Hockey TV audio of Saturday night's NOJHL contest, between the Soo Eagles and the Kirkland Lake Gold Miners, with Scott Nason and Larry Pozzebon.

Hayden Clark scored early in overtime lifting the Eagles to a 2-1 win and two big points in the standings.

We will be back at the Pullar on Friday as the Eagles have their home regular season game against the Soo Thunderbirds.

Soo Eagles vs Rayside Balfour 2-22-19

Here is the Hockey TV audio of Friday night's NOJHL West Division contest, between the Soo Eagles and the Rayside Balfour Canadians with Scott Nason and Larry Pozzebon.

The Eagles scored 7 straight goals en route to a 7-2 win, and moved into solo possession of 3rd place in the West Division.

We will be back at the Pullar on Saturday night for the Eagles game vs the Kirkland Lake Gold Miners.

 

Brimley Boys at Sault High 2-21-19

Scott Nason and Katie Wollan bring you Brimley Bays basketball on Eagle 95.1 FM and online at eagleradio951.com as the Bays completed a perfect 20-0 regular season on Thursday night with a convincing 70-41 win over the Sault High Blue Devils.,

We will start our playoff coverage on Wednesday, February 27th in Rudyard as the Bays will begin their march to the Breslin, as they take on Engadine at 7:30, with Scott and Todd Olmstead on the call.

 

 

The Game 2-21-19

On this edition of The Game Sports Show, David McCaig and Dane Hanchrow are at Northern Superior Brewing Company in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, discussing the local hockey scene, including the Soo Greyhounds, Eagles, LSSU Lakers and the Soo T-Birds retiring the #9 of Jerry Petingalo along with the upcoming alumni game on March 2nd.

Special guest on the show is Andy Frost, legendary radio announcer and public address announcer for the Toronto Maple Leafs, as he discusses his personal experience with broadcasting and being the voice that echoed the ACC for many years.  He also talks about his son, Soo Greyhounds forward Morgan Frost, and what the Leafs need to add at the trade deadline.

Dave and Dane continue the show, discussing the upcoming NHL Trade Deadline, Phil Kessel, the Carolina Hurricane celebrations, and Don Cherry, as well as the 3-up-3 down MLB talk segment. The Game will be back at Icebreakers next Tuesday, February 26th at 8 p.m.

The Game 2-20-19

On this week's edition of The Game Sports Show, Dave McCaig and Jamie Antonello are broadcasting from Sportscenter Bar & Grill, in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, named once again the Soo's best sports bar and they open the show discussing the NFL off-season with "In The Pocket" as they discuss what is happening with the Pittsburgh Steelers, along with other topics and the American Alliance of Football.

They are also joined by Molson Canadian representative and The Game Sports Shows own Dustin Grondin, with the discussion of the NBA and All-Star Weekend, along with the Toronto Raptors, NCAA Basketball, and local football with the Soo Sabrecats and Jamie spear heading promotion about the upcoming season.

Dave, Dane and Justin will be at Northern Superior at 6:30pm on Thursday with special guest Andy Frost.

The crew discuss the Toronto Maple Leafs, and reaction from the previous game vs Sens, along with upcoming games, contract signings and the Auston Matthews signing.  They also discuss the NHL upcoming trade deadline, and which teams might by buyers and/or sellers. Dave also does his three up three down MLB off-season recap, along with the NBA trade deadline.

The Game will be off this Monday from the Wicked Sister, will return Tuesday at Icebreakers at 8pm.
