The Game 3-21-19

Las Vegas Golden Knights D Man and Sault Native Colin Miller comes by the show to talk about his Golden Knights sophomore season, and road to the 2019 playoffs, including some fan selected questions.

Co-host Dane Hancherow joins Dave in the Tap Room at Northern Superior to chat about news, updates around the NHL, specifically the Toronto Maple Leafs, along with the location Canadian Tire, the home arena of the Ottawa Senators, and playoff format. They also discuss what NHL team has made improvements since deadlines, who looks like fools and losers to this point. Dave and Dane conclude the show with the 3 up 3 down MLB points , including Mike Trout's massive 12 year $430 million dollar contract,

The Drive 3-20-19

On today's show they talk about the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament, including if you are buying the "play-in" games, surprise teams of the tournament and who is going to be in the Final Four and cut down the nets in Minneapolis.

The Game 3-20-19

On this week's edition of The Game Sports Show, Dave McCaig, Jamie Antonello and Justin Hykel are broadcasting from Sportscenter Bar & Grill, in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, named once again the Soo's best sports bar. They open the show with the local football scene as the Sault Sabrecats prepare for the upcoming season.

Lots of NFL off-season talk and free agent signings, including Antonio Brown, LeVeon Bell, Trey Flowers, Nick Foles, Tryon Mathieu, Earl Thomas, Odel Beckham trade to the Browns and much much more.  The crew dissects some Lions off season grades and what the record will be for the Browns this upcoming year.

They also discuss the Toronto Raptors, which leads to round table discussion about the March Madness tournament upcoming and into a bonus topic referees and what can be done to improve their performance. Dave will be at Northern Superior at 5pm Thursday with Dane, with special guest and NHL D-man Colin Miller stopping by.

The Game Sports Show has a brand new location, Icebreakers Sports Bar & Grill, powered by Northern Superior Brewery, inside the John Rhodes Community Centre in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario with host Dave McCaig, and Brad Coccimiglio from SooToday.com.

They open the show with the update in regards to the NOJHL Playoff scene for the Soo Thunderbirds vs Blind River Beavers and Soo Eagles vs Rayside Balfour Canadians as well as LSSU Lakers Men's hockey successful NCAA Season, with a quick recap of what to expect of LSSU going forward. Also, the fellas jump into talking about the Soo Greyhounds and the Round 1 preview vs the Own Sound Attack starting this Thursday.

They also do a teaser for the Thursday edition of the show with discussion from Brad's point of view, with Dave's brief reaction on if the NHL Playoff Format needs to be adjusted and if other leagues are considering changes. Dave will be at Sportscenter with Jamie and Justin on Wednesday night at 9 p.m.

Our regular contributor, Butch Davis from Butch On Sports joins the show next to talk more about the high school boys basketball finals, along with NCAA basketball brackets, Detroit Pistons and Detroit Red Wings.

EJ Russell join us along with Katie Wollan for the Round Table, where the crew talk about NCAA basketball, NHL Playoffs and format, NFL Free agency and more, along with their thumbs up and thumbs down for the week.

The Game 3-12-19

Dave opens the show with Justin in this combined edition the "Mega topic" show. Dave and Justin open the show the "In The Pocket" Segment which is featured on the Sportscenter Bar and Grill edition of the show. They discuss the Antonio Brown trade, along with the Odell Beckham trade to the Browns and other signings.

Dave brings in Brad to discuss the Local Hockey scene in the Twin Soo's. Soo Thunderbirds, Soo Eagles, LSSU Lakers and Soo Greyhounds updates.

As heard on the Northern Superior Edition of The Game, Justin and Dave discuss the NHL joined by Brad. The fellas discuss Morgan Reillys recent hot water issue with the homophobic slur allegations, Leafs updates along with full updates around the NHL. Dave concludes the show with his 3 up and 3 Down segment in regards to the MLB. First guest on the show tonight is Zack Cisek, assistant coach of the Lake Superior State University hockey Lakers, who won a big playoff series at home this weekend and set to face Minnesota State in the WCHA Semifinals this weekend.

The Game 3-7-19

On this edition of The Game Sports Show, David McCaig, Dane Hancherow, and Justin Hykel are at Northern Superior Brewing Company in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, discussing the local hockey scene  with the Greyhounds update and recent games, along with LSSU playoffs starting against Bemdji, the NOJHL and Mac Hollowell being signed by the Leafs.

The show continues with National Hockey League talk and more on the Maple Leafs. They also hold their Multiple Choice segment and talk Major League Baseball with their 3-Up 3-Down segment.

The Game 3-6-19

On this week's edition of The Game Sports Show, Dave McCaig and Jamie Antonello are broadcasting from Sportscenter Bar & Grill, in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, named once again the Soo's best sports bar and they open the show with the "In The Pocket" segment, off season edition with discussion of the Antonio Brown trade saga that will be apparently coming to an end this weekend, along with NFL Draft Combine reaction and additional free agency updates.

They continue the show going into the NBA with updates on the Toronto Raptors, LeBron James and Kevin Durant and other NBA players. The boys go into a round table discussion with chatting about celebrations in sport after scoring along with if professional athletes are truly paid too much to do the sport they do. Dave will be at Northern Superior at 615 with Dane and Justin Thursday March 7th!

Soo Eagles vs Soo Thunderbirds 3-1-19

Here is the Hockey TV audio of Friday night's NOJHL contest, between the Soo Eagles and the Soo Thunderbirds, with Scott Nason and Larry Pozzebon.

The Eagles let a late lead slip, as the T-Birds Steven Bellini scored in overtime to lift the road team to a 3-2 overtime victory.

We will be back at the Pullar for the playoffs once the match-ups and dates are set.

The Game 2-28-19

On this edition of The Game Sports Show, David McCaig and Justin Hykel are at Northern Superior Brewing Company in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, as Dave opens the show talking about the Soo Thunderbirds, Soo Greyhounds, Soo Eagles and LSSU Lakers. Dave also covers Major League Baseball and the Jays recent signings and the big signing of Bryce Harper to Philly.

Justin joins Dave to discuss and react everything NHL in terms of the trade deadline, including full reaction and dissection of the trades that happened, winners and losers of the deadline, along with the Islanders fans towards Maple Leafs Forward John Tavares.

The show will be off for the rest of the week, will be returning on Monday live at the Wicked Sister at 6 pm on Eagle 95.1
