The Game 7-7-19

Host David McCaig and Co-Hosts/Analysts Justin Hykel and Alex Parr (Sault Online/ONNTV) moved "The Game" from inside the Tap Room to outside at Pier 55 from Thursdays to Sundays at Noon until September 1st.

Dave, Justin and Alex open the show discussing the NHL update, in particular with lengthy discussion in regards to Mitch Marner, along with up to date NHL action packed off-season. Part Two of the show consists of David joined by Casual Host and Game Sports Show Anaylst Craig Hartsburg, with discussing his official announcement on joining the Columbus Blue Jackets as a Player Development Coach along with the Blue Jackets off-season and the expectations of players brought in and youth coming up in the system.

The final part of the show recaps local hockey, MLB and the big news of Kawhi Leonard leaving the Raptors and all the NBA up to date signings and trades, along with rumors of the Toronto Raptors turning down Paul George and Russell Westbrook in a trade and other NBA news and notes.

On this episode they talk about the US Women's win over France a World Cup Quarterfinal, and what to expect moving forward. They also talk about the US Men's team success in the Gold Cup, along with the World Cup of Cricket and NBA Free Agency.

The Game 6-27-19

Dave McCaig, Justin Hykel and Alex Parr are live at Northern Superior Brewery inside the Brewhouse, discussing the hot topics in the world of sports, locally, regionally and nationally. The show starts with CHL Import draft with the Hounds selection in the draft, along with the continued discussion from Tuesdays ONNTV show about local hockey arenas in Sault Ontario.

Part two gets into all updates in the NHL including Mitch Marner rumors, Roberto Luongo retiring, Patrick Marleau being bought out by Carolina, along with reactions and predictions about pick name free agents that are available. Other items discussed tonight include MLB All Star Game starters, along with Marcus Stroman rumors and possible trade destinations.

Our Monday night edition of "The Game" will be off for Canada Day, but back on Monday, July 8th for a very big announcement, you won't want to miss it.

The Game 6-26-19

On this edition of "The Game", Dave McCaig is joined by co-hosts Justin Hykel and Jamie Antonello, opening the show with the famous "In The Pocket Segment". They discuss the local football scene with Varsity and Junior Varsity Sabercats and the Soo Steelers, along with a preview of the upcoming game for the Varsity Sabercats, Sunday June 30th at 1pm at Superior Heights.

The second half of the show jumps into a round table discussion with the entire chat being in regards to the upcoming NBA off-season, with opinions about Kawhi Leonard, Kevin Durant, Klay Thompson, Marc Gasol resigning and teams actions in particular with the Raptors, Clippers, Lakers and Warriors.

Dave will be at Northern Superior Brewery on Thursday, June 27th at 6:30pm with Justin and Alex Parr, with an expected interview with the Pilon twins, Drake and Darian, make sure to keep tabs on that upload or do not be scared to stop in to visit the fellas!

The Red Wings will open the campaign on the road on Saturday, Oct. 5 against the Nashville Predators before hosting the Dallas Stars for the Home Opener on Sunday, Oct. 6 at 7:00 p.m. Little Caesars Arena.
