Hearst vs Espanola 10-15-19

Here is the audio broadcast on Hockey TV, featuring the Hearst Lumberjacks and the Espanola Express in our second game of the NOJHL Showcase at Big Bear Arena.

The Lumberjacks shut out the Express 4-0 to improve to 9-3-0 on the season.

Our next game will be the Kirkland Lake Gold Miners taking on the Soo Thunderbirds at 4 p.m.

Timmins vs Rayside Balfour 10-15-19

Here is the audio broadcast on Hockey TV, featuring the Timmins Rock and Rayside Balfour Canadians in the opening game of the NOJHL Showcase at Big Bear Arena.

The Rock skated away with a 4-1 win and improve to 11-1-1 on the season.

Our next game will be Hearst taking on Espanola at 1:30 p.m.

The Game 10-14-19

On this Monday Night edition of "The Game", on ESPN 1400 WKNW in Sault Ste. The "Cross Table" portion of the show talks about the Toronto Raptors and upcoming NBA season, along with NHL reaction to date. and what sport they feel is the most unpredictable sport.

Butch Davis of "Butch On Sports" joins the show to discuss the Detroit sports scene, including the Red Wings fast start to the season, the Michigan Sports Hall of Fame inductees for 2019, the Pistons exhibition opener and a big week in wrestling.

EJ Russell joins the crew for the round table, where they discuss the NFL division leaders along with some of the fines for attire, major league baseball playoffs, along with their thumbs up and thumbs down for the week.

Soo Eagles vs Soo Thunderbirds 10-4-19

Here is the radio broadcast of Soo Eagles hockey on ESPN 1400 and the audio broadcast on Hockey TV from Friday night's game against the Soo Thunderbirds at Pullar Stadium.

The Eagles captured their first home victory with a 4-3 shootout win over their cross-border rivals.

The Eagles will be on the road for their next four games and Larry and I will be back on Hockey TV on Tuesday, October 15th from Big Bear Arena and the NOJHL Showcase starting at 11:00 a.m as we will cover eight games in the two day event.

Dave and Matt continue NHL talk regarding the opening of the season, Tarvares being named captain, Evander Kane being suspended and Colin Miller's first night as a Sabre / Connor Henderson, Baseball Analyst of The Game joins with his reaction about the current playoff situation, along with Blue Jays and Tigers grades this season.

Daniel Scarpino joins to discuss the upcoming week in Algoma University athletics in regards to Soccer and Dave and Matt hold their "In The Pocket" segment in regards to the upcoming week in the NFL, along with local football discussion.

Soo High Football vs Ogemaw Heights 9-28-19

Here is the podcast of Saturday afternoon's high school football game between the Soo High Blue Devils and the Ogemaw Heights Falcons, with Scott Nason and Pat Bennin and 1230 WSOO.

The Blue Devils improved to 4-1 on the season with a 24-12 victory.

The Game 9-26-19

The Northern Superior Brewing Company Thursday night edition of "The Game"with David McCaig , Alex Parr, Justin Hykel and making his debut as analyst, Brendan Brooks. Lots of local sports and hockey talk, including the Thunderbirds, Eagles, Beavers of the NOJHL, Sault College and Algoma University athletics and updates on the Soo Greyhounds.

The boys also talk NHL, regarding the Red Wings, Steve Yzerman, Matt Tkachuk, and Brayden Point. They also dive into the hot topic regarding the Toronto Maple Leafs being Auston Matthews and whom they think are teams to watch out for this season in the NHL. Of course, Brendan Brooks "Brooksy" gets into his past experiences in Hockey and how one of his fights have been voted 11th all time.

The Game will be on location and providing full coverage all weekend locally, the next show will be Monday from inside ESPN 1400 studios Monday at 6pm!

Soo Eagles vs Rayside Balfour 9-25-19

Here is the radio broadcast of Soo Eagles hockey on ESPN 1400 and the audio broadcast on Hockey TV from Wednesday night's game at Pullar Stadium against Rayside Balfour.

The Canadians earned their second straight win over the Eagles by the score of 2-1.

Our next broadcast will be a week from Friday, October 4th, as the Eagles take on the Soo Thunderbirds. Scott Nason and Larry Pozzebon will have the call starting with the pregame show at 7:15 p.m. online at Hockey TV and on the radio at ESPN 1400.
