Soo Eagles vs Soo Thunderbirds 12-20-19

Here is the radio broadcast of Soo Eagles hockey on ESPN 1400 and the audio broadcast on Hockey TV from Friday night's game against the Soo Thunderbirds, with Scott Nason and Larry Pozzebon.

The Eagles moved into a third place tie in the West Division with the T-Birds, as they skated away with a 3-2 overtime win at Puller Stadium.

The Game 12-19-19

Commercial Free edition from Northern Superior! Host David McCaig, joined by Justin Hykel and Dane Hancherow , and they bring you up to date on the local hockey scene with the Soo Greyhounds, LSSU Lakers, Soo Thunderbirds, Soo Eagles, Blind River Beavers, Soo Indians AAA and much more.

The round table includes a variety of topics in reference to the NHL, including Taylor Hall, Oskar Lindblom, Springfield Thunderbirds rocking alternate jerseys, full Canadian team reaction and much more. The Canadian crew will be off until January 2nd, when they return to Northern Superior. The USA version of the show will not be taking the holiday off, they will be back this upcoming Monday at 6 p.m. on ESPN 1400.

The Game 12-18-19

Dave McCaig and Jamie Antonello brodcast from Sportscenter Bar and Grill and open the show with the "In The Pocket", talking NCAA Football with the upcoming bowl games, with analysis, preview and predictions. They also talk NFL, ranging from Week 15 reaction to upcoming pivotal Week 16 match-ups and predictions.

The boys also talk NBA, in particular the Toronto Raptors. Next up Northern Superior Edition, December 19th at 7:15 p.m. with Dave, Dane and Justin, with the final show until after the holidays.

The Game 12-16-19

On this Monday Night edition of "The Game", on ESPN 1400 WKNW in Sault Ste. Marie, Scott Nason covers the local high school sports scene along with hockey in the Soo Greyhounds, Eagles, Thunderbirds and college sports with Lake Superior State, Algoma and Soo College Athletics.

Special guests tonight include Matt Bathey, head coach of the Brimley Bays varsity girls basketball team and Matt Johnson, head coach of the Pickford Panthers boys varsity basketball team.

Butch Davis from Butch On Sports, host of "The Game Sports Show" is also on tonight's show where they discuss the Detroit sports scene, including the Lions struggles, Pistons and Red Wings better play, college basketball, soccer in Detroit the NBA, MLB, NFL, WWE, along with their thumbs up and thumbs down for the week.

Soo Eagles vs French River 12-13-19

The Eagles won their second game in two nights, with a 4-2 win, as Dominic Skrelja netted the winning goal in the third period.

Highlights of today's show include...The Detroit Tigers and catcher Austin Romine agreed to a $4.15 million, one-year contract. Detroit Tigers also selected righthanded pitcher Rony Garcia from the New York Yankees with the No. 1 pick of the Major League phase of the Rule 5 Draft. Garcia, 21, split the 2019 season between Single A Tampa and Double A Trenton.

Connor Henderson joins Dave and Dane to discuss the world of baseball, with new signings around Gerrit Cole, Anthony Rendon, Tanner Roark and discussion about the off season and if the payroll in place with the MLB needs to be changed?

Dave and Dane complete the show with discussion about the return of Kawhi to Toronto, and discussion about Peter DeBoer being fired as the San Jose Sharks head coach.

Brimley at Rudyard Boys 12-10-19

Here is the broadcast of the EUP Game of the Week on Oldies 93, as the Brimley Bays took on the Rudyard Bulldogs in boys basketball.

Tate Besteman scored 17 points for the Bulldogs in their 53-39 win over the Bays.

Here is the broadcast of the EUP Game of the Week on Oldies 93 with Scott Nason, as the Brimley Bays took on the Rudyard Bulldogs in girls basketball.

The Bays won this EUP Conference opener with a 44-37 win at Rudyard.

LSSU Men's Basketball vs Ashland 12-5-19

Here is Thursday's broadcast of the Lake Superior State University men's basketball game against Ashland on ESPN 1400 with Scott Nason.

The Lakers torched the nets all night, shooting 62% from the field, as they topped the #10 team in D2, 99-69. Xande Okerlund posting a team-leading 31 points in the game as he finished the game 12-for-12 in field goals, four-for-four in three pointers and three-for-four on free throw attempts.  The Lakers improve to 4-3 and 1-0 in the GLIAC.

The Northern Superior Edition of "The Game", with a combination of the Sportscenter edition as well, as host David McCaig is joined by Alex Parr, Dane Hancherow and Justin Hykel.

The boys give a local recap with the Soo Greyhounds, LSSU Lakers, Soo Thunderbirds, Soo Eagles, Blind River Beavers and Sault College Cougars along with NHL discussions focusing on the Toronto Maple Leafs and the Canadian World Junior camp for Team Canada.
