Amazon will partner with Diamond Sports as part of a restructuring agreement as the largest owner of regional sports networks looks to emerge from bankruptcy. Diamond owns 18 networks under the Bally Sports banner. Those networks have the rights to 37 professional teams — 11 baseball, 15 NBA and 11 NHL. That list includes the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Red Wings and Detroit Pistons.

LIONS WIN! NFL announced they will host the Sunday afternoon game in next weekend's divisional round.  The game will be played at 3 p.m. at Ford Field and will be televised again on NBC. The Lions drew the first game of the Sunday doubleheader, with either the Kansas City Chiefs playing the Buffalo Bills or the Pittsburgh Steelers playing the Baltimore Ravens in the evening.

I lost a great friend this week. 🕯 Kirthmon F. Dozier, a longtime Detroit Free Press staff photographer who captured some of the biggest and greatest moments in Detroit sports history over the past several decades, passed away Friday at 65 years old.   I'II remember Kirt for not just his ability to tell captivating stories with his photography, however his friendliness and compassion for everyone around him. He was an amazing colleague, an amazing journalist and an even better friend to everyone, and I will dearly miss him. My hearts go out to Kirt's family and loved ones during this difficult time.
