Rudyard vs Carney-Nadeau Girls B-Ball 4-5-21

Here is the broadcast of the EUP Game of the Week between the Rudyard Bulldogs and Carney-Nadeau Wolves Division 4, quarterfinal basketball girls' basketball game in Negaunee, on Monday, April 5.

Rudyard took the lead in the fourth quarter against the undefeated Wolves, but had their best season in school history end, as they fell 62-52, ending their year at 12-6.

Rudyard vs Alanson Boys B-Ball 4-1-21

Here is the broadcast of the EUP Game of the Week between the Rudyard Bulldogs and Alanson Vikings, in boys' basketball regional final action from Pellston, on Country 105 with Scott Nason and Ray Bell, from Thursday, April 1.

The Rudyard Bulldogs advanced to the quarterfinals in Division 4, for the first time since 2010, with a convincing, 85-49 win. EJ Suggitt led all scorers for Rudyard with 27 points, and surpassed 1000 career points as a Bulldog. Gannon Smith poured in 18 points for Rudyard, Austin Warner had 12, Tate Besteman added 10.

Rudyard will meet Carney-Nadeau on Tuesday in Escanaba in the quarterfinals.  You can hear that game on Country 105, or online at country105fm.net, with Scott Nason and Ray Bell, starting with the pregame show at 6:45 pm.

Here is the broadcast of the EUP Game of the Week between the Mackinaw City Comets and Rudyard Bulldogs, in boys' basketball regional semifinal action from Rudyard, on Country 105 with Scott Nason and Ray Bell, from Tuesday, March 30.

The Rudyard Bulldogs advanced to the Division 4, Region 26 final, as EJ Suggitt scored 28 points, and Tate Besteman 26, lifting the home team to a 78-55 win. Rudyard (16-2) will face Alanson (14-7) in a regional final on Thursday in Pellston. You can hear that game on Country 105, or online at country105fm.net, with Scott Nason and Ray Bell, starting with the pregame show at 6:45 pm.

The scheduled broadcast of the Rudyard Bulldogs girls' basketball team's regional final against Mackinaw City on Wednesday night will not take place. Mackinaw City had to opt out of the tournament, due to COVID-19. The Bulldogs advance to their first ever quarterfinal and will take on the winner of tonight's Carney-Nadeau vs Ewen-Trout Creek game on Monday at 7:00 pm. The location of the game has yet to be determined. You can hear the game on Country 105, or online at country105fm.net, with Scott Nason and Ray Bell, starting with the pregame show at 6:45 pm.

 

Rudyard vs Cedarville Girls B-Ball 3-29-21

Here is the broadcast of the EUP Game of the Week between the Rudyard Bulldogs and Cedarville Trojans in girls' basketball regional semifinal action from Sault Ste. Marie, on Country 105 with Scott Nason, from Monday, March 29.

The Rudyard Bulldogs advanced to the Division 4, Region 26 final, as they came back after being down double digits, to top the Trojans, 59-46. Chesney Molina had 23 points for the Bulldogs. Rudyard (11-5) will face Mackinaw City (18-2) on Wednesday in Wolverine at 7:00 pm. You can hear that game on Country 105, with Scott Nason and Ray Bell, starting with the pregame show at 7:00 pm.

Sault Girls B-Ball vs Escanaba 3-29-21

Here is the broadcast of the Sault High girls' basketball game against Escanaba, with Dave Watson and Ray Bell, on 1230 WSOO, from Monday, March 29.

The Blue Devils saw their season end in their regional semifinal in Manistique, as the Eskimos won, 78-68. Escanaba advances to the regional final where they will face Ludington. Sault High ends their season at 14-2, which includes another Straits Area Conference title.

We will have Sault High baseball and softball on 1230 WSOO starting in the spring, with Dave Watson.

Mackinaw City at Pickford Boys B-Ball 3-27-21

Here is the broadcast of the EUP Game of the Week between the Mackinaw City Comets and Pickford Panthers in boys' basketball district final action from the Purple Palace, with Scott Nason, on Saturday, March 27.

The Comets improved to 14-4 on the season and advanced to next week's regional semifinal in Rudyard, as they edged out the Panthers, 42-41. The Comets will meet the Rudyard Bulldogs on Tuesday, with the winner advancing to the regional final in Pellston on Thursday. You can hear that game on Country 105, on Tuesday, starting with the pregame show at 6:45 pm.

Our next broadcast in the EUP Game of the Week on Country 105 will be on Monday night in girls' regional semifinal action, as the Rudyard Bulldogs will face the Cedarville Trojans.
