The Soo Thunderbirds extended their lead in the West Division over the Eagles to 16 points, as they skated away with a 5-2 win at Pullar Stadium.

The Blue Devils win another district title on Friday night, as they topped the Ramblers, 47-36.

LSSU at NMU 3-2-22

Here is the broadcast of the Lake Superior State University men's basketball GLIAC quarterfinal game at Northern Michigan University, on March 2, with Scott Nason, on News Talk 1400.

The Lakers ended their season at 16-11, as they rallied to force overtime on a 3-pointer by Blake Cassidy, but would fall to the Wildcats, 99-94.

Malik Adams scored a career-high 42 points for Lake State, ending his impressive career for the Lakers. Kemon Bassett added 19 points for Lake State, as Northern Michigan advances to the GLIAC semifinals where they will face Saginaw Valley State.

 

Sault vs Kalkaska 3-2-22

Here is the broadcast of the Sault High girls' basketball district semifinal game against Kalkaska, on March 2, with Dave Watson and Ray Bell, on 1230 WSOO.

The Blue Devils cruised to the district final, as they ran past Kalkaska, 60-24, to improve to 17-4 on the season.
